Lockdown update Tuesday 31st August

Kia ora koutou, 

A quick update from all of us at PKF Dunedin to check in and make sure you are getting the key information that you need to operate. It is hard to believe that it is the start of Spring tomorrow, with the added bonus that we get to move down a lockdown level. Level 3 does not change much for how we operate, we’ll still be working from home, but we know a good number of you will be working hard to get sorted to offer click and collect sales or getting ready to be back on the tools for tomorrow.  

As lockdown drags on, we are aware that for some people this current environment creates a load of pressure and stress. As Xero users we have access to an excellent resource, whether it is as a business owner, a staff member or even for our family members. This resource is the Xero Assistance Program, which provides free access to trained professionals that are there to help support an individual’s mental well-being. It is a great program. Some further information on XAP can be found here.

As we head into Level 3 the Government has indicated further wage subsidy support. Some key dates are outlined below: 

• Applications for the current COVID-19 Wage Subsidy August 2021 close at 11.59pm on Thursday 2 September. 
  
• Another round of Wage Subsidy will be available for a further two-week payment, applications for this will open at 9am on 3 September.

Resurgence Support Payment 

• You may also be aware that the Resurgence Support Payment is available, if you haven’t already applied click here to check if you are eligible or give us a call.
